Chris Porter who joined M&D Construction at the end of 2014 is exploring opportunities for new work in the competitive earthworks market. It is our intention to cautiously build up this division to coincide with an increase in Public and Private sector infrastructural spend.
M&D Construction has recently bolstered its tipper truck fleet with the purchase of 4 new Mercedes-Benz Axor 2628 – 10m3 tipper Trucks. These will be used initially to transport screened bedding material on the O6 pipeline for Rand Water.
M&D Construction, with their JV partners, completed and handed over Phase 1 of the 30 Mega litre per day Water Treatment Plant to Magalies Water at the end of 2014. Work continues on Phase 2, the 15 Mega litre reservoir and the complex Inlet structure.
M&D Construction has recently started construction work on the Sol Plaatje University in Kimberley. This is a three year framework contract using the NEC3 Option C target cost contract.
